About Cerridwen:

Cerridwen is a Celtic Goddess of the Sacred Cauldron. The cauldron is where all life is born, & reborn again & again. She is a wise old soul, the crone within us that holds a sacred knowing. She can see past limiting beliefs, separation, & fear of others ~ holding unconditional love as a path back to unity.

Cerridwen helps us to tap into our magick & activate the depth of our powers to share them with the world. From her sacred cauldron, she creates & offers magickal potions of divine wisdom, transformation, & inspiration. She is a dark Goddess of prophetic power.ย

The Witch Wound:

Throughout patriarchal history & the Inquisition, the word witch has been distorted to have a negative connotation. For centuries, women were killed because of their intuitive & healing abilities. Women were prevented ย from gathering as this was said to be evil & satanic & they were pressured to rat out other women for basic spiritual practices like candle magick & gathering in circles outside.

According to Jenny Gibbons in the movie "The Burning Times", 9 million witches were burned over 300 years by the Church during the Inquisition. Gibbons is a historian with an MA in medieval history & a minor in the Great Hunt. This number is widely disputed among different sources & on the lowest end of the spectrum, the Catholic Church cites death rates of 40,000 - 60,000 witches.

Cerridwen's imagery is that of the witch & part of this circle will focus on healing the witch wound.

The Circle Way:

Circle welcomes us into a shape where we can sit together in all our differences, see each other eye to eye, listen, & be heard. Circle is a social art form. Once you've taken your seat, you're there & every person's level of engagement or lack thereof is noticeable. There is nowhere to hide or secretly check your phone. This intensified & intentional way of showing up creates deeper experiences & meaningful connections.

Circle offers space to:

  • Take a breath.
  • Focus on the people you're actually with.
  • Fully experience the present moment.

All Are Welcome Here:

This event is open to all genders & queerities as Goddess is no more a woman than God is a man. The divine knows no separation. โ˜ฏ๏ธ ย
